Donald Trump was inaugurated as president of the United States on January 20th, however many people refuse to have him as the President. "More than a million Americans took to the streets of the United States to protest Donald Trump the day after his inauguration. And that doesn't include the many thousands of people who took part in the main event -- The Women's March on Washington -- for which there was no official crowd estimate." There are many protests and organized marches against Donald Trump. The woman's march in DC was shown to have a bigger turnout than Donald Trumps inauguration. The reason why it was known as the 'woman's march' is because of the many statements Trump has made against women that can be considered sexist or mean. So the women's march was organized so people could speak out against Trump. Some protests have gotten violent, however, cars have been set on fire and fights have broken out, but there are peaceful protests as well. I thought this was interesting because a new president, Trump, has just been brought into office and there are very different and strong opinions on Trump. I think it is sad how it seems America has become divided and just hope that everything just ends well and all is okay.
